Camp Fire USA’s small group clubs are for children in grades K-12. Boys and girls nationwide participate in fun activities, projects, events and lots of other activities that come with a small-group experience.
Camp Fire USA clubs usually meet each week for an hour and are generally led by two or more adults who have volunteered their time and skills. Meetings are held after school, in the evenings or on weekends. Boys and girls learn to work together and play together. They get involved in service projects which help them become responsible citizens concerned about their communities and society.
Camp Fire USA club programs have four important qualities:
There are various program levels - as children get older, they do more complex and challenging activities.
The program develops the whole child and includes a wide range of activities and skill development.
Youth have a voice in programming, and together with adults set the direction of the group.
The club program rewards participation and achievement, helping build self- esteem and pride.
Each program-level name symbolizes expanding opportunities, choices and leadership:
| Starflight | Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grades |
| Adventure | 3rd, 4th and 5th grades |
| Discovery | 6th, 7th and 8th grades |
| Horizon | 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th grades |
Besides the normal curriculum, the Camp Fire USA Small Group Club program offers many exciting National Theme Projects for added variety.
