Babysitting Certification Classes

Become a more confident, skilled babysitter through our popular certification course. Students will learn the basics of childcare from birth through elementary ages, first aid, safety & responsibilities required of a babysitter, as well as build a babysitting tool kit that will help make you the most popular babysitter on the block.

What past students have said about this class:

I feel more confident and mature after this class.

The instructor is fun and cares about me.

I love the play kit, the fun games and the awesome creative crafts.

My favorite things about the class were new friends, new skills, and getting certified.

In this interactive class students will build on the skills they already have and share with fellow student while gaining many new skills.  Our two day, twelve hour course covers a wide range of topics to give students a solid base to be strong, confident, responsible babysitters.  This structure allows us to go more in depth and give students plenty of hands on experience with important issues where shorter courses can only touch the surface if they are able to cover them at all.  Babysitters take on the role of parents when the parent is not there.  We want our babysitters to have the most resources possible so families can have peace of mind.

Each student will leave the class with knowledge of how to change a diaper, prepare basic foods for children, put children to bed, appropriate behavior management tools, how to interact with parents, how to prevent and respond to accidents, identifying and responding to emergencies, what to do if a child is sick, and new games, and crafts and activities for different ages among many other skills.  Students are also given the opportunity to address issues of concern to them that they have or may face when caring for children.

Our adult instructors are trained and experienced as child care providers, nannies/babysitters, and teachers.  Some have young children of their own. Often our instructors are a highlight of the course for our students. We have a maximum and minimum class size to allow our instructors to provide one on one attention while having a large enough group to do a variety of activities and for the students to be able to work together, share personal experiences, and benefit from peer interaction.
